  • Sinaia
known as the "Carpathians Pearl" is situated along Prahova river valley, in Bucegi massive.

Sinaia is one of the finest mountain resorts in Europe being spectacular by nature and history. In Sinaia you can find big hotels with swimming pools and restaurants, cable cars and chair lifts. The biggest ski domain in Romania is here.

  • Royal Peles Castle
built in 1870, Pelisor Castle and Foisor Castle, the Casino Palace and 16th Century Sinaia Monastery are eager to have you as guests. King Carol himself selected Sinaia as Royal summer residence.

  • Omu Peak (2505 m)
along with Costila (2498 m), Bucsoiu (2492 m) and Caraiman (2326 m) are Bucegi Mountains tallest peaks, all easy reachable from Sinaia.
They are particularly fit for ski touring. This is due to the plateau at 2000m altitude that creates a great cross country type of environment. From here you can have great descents towards Prahova Valley, using a wide variety of routes, from mild ones (in Sinaia area) to very difficult ones (around 1500 m vertical drop), in the region of Omu Peak.

A great advantage for tourists is that one-day trips can be easily made in this region.
